Community Health Support Programme (Cohesu) is a national Non Governmental Organization, with offices located in Western Kenya, and operations covering Nyanza and Western provinces of Kenya. The organization was initially started as a self help program and later registered as a Non-governmental Organization on 21st December 2001. Cohesu promotes community health through research, by mobilizing resources, providing technical assistance, advocacy and social marketing for community health,linking research to policy,and encouraging communities to participate in the prevention and control of physical, mental and psychological illnesses.

Cohesu has a Board of Management that consists of the honorary posts of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and eight ordinary members. The Chief Executive of the Organization serves as the Secretary of the Board. The Board is the policy-making organ of the Organization. The Chief Executive and officers charged with various tasks manage the day-to-day affairs of the Organization.

Women Empowerment and Widows and Orphans Counseling and Support Services (WEWOCS):
This is a non-profit making community based organization that works with other groups of service providers.
W.E.W.O.C.S was started in January 2005 by a group of volunteers headed by the Chairlady retired teacher (education) and trained counselor.
The organization has been working with vulnerable groups in the Kibera slum area in Nairobi by providing HIV counseling, hopes to extend further to rural Western Kenya , and provide similar services to the marginalized groups in this area. Registered in Nairobi, its activities extend to the rural areas of Western Kenya .
